Emma
Emma shares her passion for the outdoors through her work as an Adaptive Ski Instructor for the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, assisting in getting people with disabilities out on the hill skiing. In the summers, she moves to Minnesota where she gets to lead middle school and high school-aged young women on long canoe expeditions in the Canadian Wilderness. Through these pursuits, she enjoys sharing her love for outdoor recreation and nature with young people while also getting to learn from their life experiences and discoveries.
As an instructor and outdoor educator, she has learned the value of fostering a community of challenge, growth, and fun. Working with youth of all abilities, she has gained patience and the ability to adapt her leadership to their needs. She often finds herself amazed at the energy young people bring to every interaction and the wonder with which they see the world with.
In her time outside of work, she enjoys reading, live music, and creating all kinds of art. If you asked a younger Emma what she wanted to be when she grew up she would say an Artist.
